Chevron #1 (2005) - 1930's Dodge Airflow Tanker - Bank SPECIAL EDITION in Brushed Metal Finish
Tank-trucks of the future may -- and probably will -- have different lines and greater efficiency, but it is difficult to picture how a closer union of beauty and utility can be contrived than the Standard engineers and the builders have achieved in the 1935 truck. Here, within its flowing lines is carried the utmost possible "pay load" consistent with state highway regulations. The streamlined tank mounting is a single stell shell; in other words, it is the tank itself, not a jacket over the tank as is commonly found in such trucks. It is divided by suitable bulkheads into four compartments, with a capacity of 1600 gallons of gasoline. -- From the Standard Oil Bulletin, June 1935
