The size and detail are great. There are a lot of moving pieces which allows the model to be posed in a vast variety of positions. The movement of the blade is especially nice. The downside is the ripper in the back is spring loaded and sits in a down position which only goes as low as the ground surface. Also the tires look like they came out of a Lego box.

A very highly detailed model, has anything and everything a collector could want. The moldboard shifts side to side, circle housing turns as it should, lift cylinders work good a little stiff but better than too loose. The only possible negative thing about this machine is the lack of downward movement on ripper, the tires look like stock tires nothing flashy just big mean grips! Great model!

Bought a 24H Grader. Good likeness and quality, EXCEPT the oscillation of the front wheels is very stiff and one wheel actually came off its axle pin. Rather than return it, I was able to press it back on to the pin and used a small amount of Permatex grey silicone to help hold it on. So far so good. The grey silicone is harder than the black so tends to hold things together better. Norscot have to get a better handle on their Quality Control on this Chinese manufactured stuff. Here in Canada, Home Hardware has had to open a Quality Control Facility in China so that poor quality items coming into Canada are held to a minimum. Norscot could take a lesson from this. We have complained to Norscot directly and they do not even acknowledge Emails. Very poor business ethics and professionalism indeed! However, having said that, and being an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright, we will continue to buy Norscot products, as they are still very life-like and have less plastic parts than most of the other products on the market.

I got this model for Christmas, and I have to say it's worth the money. The one bad thing on this model is that the ripper won't go below the tires.

There has been some controversy with this latest Norscot release concerning the accuracy of the tires. Most photos do show tires with several different tread patterns, but there are also photos showing a tread pattern very close to this. With that said, Norscot has done a very good job replicating the 24M. Articulation works well, as does the steering, ripper and motor board mechanism. The 24M is quite a bit larger than the 24H when compared side-by-side. Good detailing, lots of moving parts and a realistic look. I'd recommend this one if you want a nice grader to add to your Cat or construction collection.
