This brochure features the models from the 2nd Series of models that are a reminder of what life was like in Vietnam.
The range is a series of precision-engineered US military vehicles commemorating the men and machines of the Vietnam War. Each die-cast vehicle was meticulously researched to ensure the highest degree of authenticity. Based on actual photographs and personal accounts, Corgi endeavored, where possible, to reproduce the exact vehicle used by a specific individual. From such personal touches as the ace of spades flag on the M48 tank to the "Musket" call sign onthe Huey, these are some of the most accurate military models ever made. Each piece contained a numbered, limited edition certificate and a booklet with the specifications of the vehicle and a story of the veteran who operated it during the War. The stories relate the experiences of these "Unsung Heros", and offered the collector and the veteran a glimpse and a reminder of what life was like in Vietnam.
