AMX-56 Leclerc T5

In service since 1992, the AMX-56 Leclerc T5 - named after General Philippe Leclerc who commanded the French 2nd Armoured Division during the liberation of France and took the formal surrender of Paris in August, 1944 - is the main battle tank in service with the French Army.

A replica of a T5 - the Leclerc's standard product configuration - employed by the 501-503eme RCC in France in 1997, this 1/72 scale, metal and plastic model features a rotating turret with an elevating GIAT 120mm cannon and a 12.7mm coaxial M2HB machine gun; antennas, gas tanks, and other fine detail parts; flexible rubber tracks; a tri-color camouflage scheme with authentic markings; and more. Measures 5¼" long and includes a removable terrain base with a clear protective cover.
