Texaco - 1929 Curtiss Robin Airplane - #4 (2021) in the Fuel For Victory Series Only 1,008 pieces produced
Features: The Curtiss Robin looks meek and mild, but in fact, it was a real work horse. Originally designed as an affordable and practical aircraft, the plane made use of the then-common World War I surplus 90 HP OX-5 engine. The OX-5 engine was used in a number of WWI pilot training aircraft, helping to ready pilots for upcoming air battles of "The Great War" and ultimately victory. After the war, thousands of relatively inexpensive war-surplus OX-5 engines were installed into various general aviation aircraft. The easy availability of this engine help to make the Robin a hit with private and corporate owners who required an enclosed cabin and an easy operation. ![]() Size in inches: 8.25 X 12.75 X 2.5 Recommended Age: 14 and up MSRP: $69.99 ImportantThis item is an adult collectible designed for use by persons 14 years of age and older.
