This Marina Blue 1967 Chevy® Corvette® 427 is a time capsule of Corvette® history. It was first delivered to Robert Chevrolet in Hickville, NY in May of 1967. In the 1980s, this car made its way into the Corvette® collections of both Ed Mueller and Irwin Kroiz. Eventually, Frank Stech bought this car in 1993 from an owner in Connecticut, CT. It currently has 14,000 original miles, the original interior, the original tank sticker, protecto-plate, and finance papers. It’s also equipped with the factory-installed drive train, which includes the 427/435hp motor, M21 4-speed trans, 3:70 positraction rear axle ratio, and the dual side exhaust system.
This car was featured on the cover of Corvette Fever magazine in May of 1996. Some of the car’s awards include Bloomington Gold Certification and 14 NCRS Top Flight certificates. It earned the Chevy Vettefest Gold Spinner and Triple Crown awards along with “Best Original/Restored Corvette” at the Chevy Vettefest in 2000. It was also an AACA Grand National Award winner in 2016 and twice was nominated for AACA National Awards. This car was featured in the 2017 Bloomington Gold Special Collection.
